Have you started somewhere else and want to finish 'locally'? There might be quite a lot of flying clubs but there aren't a lot of CPL schools in Scotland and none 'around' Glasgow.
What used to be called Tayflight (now ACS Aviation I think?) at Perth aerodrome; and Tayside Aviation at Dundee. One's an hour from Glasgow by car; the other an hour-and-a-half. That's when things run smoothly - with the state of the A80 until Sept 2011 you might need to almost double these times.
