I can't log it as P u/t as at the time I was not part of the group and it's not possible to receive training in a permit aircraft that you don't own.
Are you sure that's completely true? I thought you could not receive training on a (group owned) permit aircraft
for an initial license or rating issue, but differences and recurrent training, including "endorsements" were allowed?
