Is this a UK rumour or from the Middle East? QR and BHX have been
mentioned from the ME along with EDI as the next UK destinations.
However that is not really saying too much and there was no time
scale given.
EY would be a total surprise.

Emirates don't offer Dubai - Amritsar whereas QR operate I believe
daily from Doha and this would give a springboard to any potential
BHX service, although I understand that alone would not automatically
bring success to the route.
I must admit the amount of potential routes QR are linked with, 2022
sounds about right
