Has anyone considered that MME refused to accept the BA diversion?
It was late at night, it already had the KLM divert as well as its own service.
A small terminal, probably basic staff so couldnt accept it. After all, we know MAN in the past has turned away many diversions as it wasnt able to accept them.
The question is, if MME said no, then how far do you take it. LBA was closed (as I remember diverts going to MAN that night), then MAN is far across the pennines so are actually no better off in terms of coaches.
The best option was therefore, go go back to base.
