Actually it can be as long as the ops side of yourself and maybe your handling agent (assuming say a diversion to an offline point like Teesside) is up to it, and it is all pre-planned in a procedure.

Choose the coaching operator who can give you the quickest response, is local, and has a good pool of local drivers (because they will often have to be called out from home for work like this). Find out who has the area contract for turning out to any National Express and other major operators broken down on the motorway - they get sudden work at odd hours regularly and know how to handle it.

Do not choose the coaching operator who Procurement at head office selected because they were £25 cheaper on the tender, who you have little experience of, who are miles away, and take for ever to get organised.
