The 70% contract being offered works on the basis of 70% full Capt/FO salary paid over 12 months. So in essence you are employed all year but to the companies advantage of not using you for the winter.
In this case initial training will commence whenever your start date is, once all ground/sim/line training is complete you will then not fly until your official 70% term so 1st April start on full roster and you will then fly the summer until the 31st Oct.
