I want Trump's golf resort. Whatever people say about him & it, & a lot has been said, the region needs to diversify from oil & gas - they won't be around forever. The recent Bristow announcement was certainly of interest, but renewables is still somewhat of an unknown commodity. Thank God oil & gas started about 40yrs ago up here, where would we be now without it? Particularly if the Green Mob had their way? Tourism has to be one of the ways forward for the future.
**I read this morning that klm are to add another AMS services to all the Scottish airports, presumably from Nov. Assuming the early morning arrival remains, it would mean 5 flights on a typical weekday from here. I am sure they did have 5 flights for a very short time about 2yrs ago before it quickly reverted to 4/3.
**Edit 25/10/10: the extra service not to start until Apr 2011.
ps. great to see the recent 757 movements courtesy of Thomas Cook. Why did Boeing stop making these beautiful aircraft?
