The interesting question is how many type rated guys will jump ship to risk the 70% contract offer?
Even though all those who joined for S.10 only, have now been offered full time contracts, the outfall from the HMG spending review to be announced this week is the big unknown for everybody. Past performance is no guarantee of future success to modify a quote in financial circles. There can be no certainty that a full time offer will follow in due course. So, by definition, it is a risk if you are already in full time employment. You might be working in a sandpit, or worse, earning reasonable money but missing home. This, with other factors all come into play.
Basic economics of supply and demand will, in the end, determine whether the 70% deal will be enough to tempt guys on board.
