Botswana violated its open skies agreement and is refusing to allow any aircraft to fly directly into Maun or Kasane other than Air Botswana or Air Namibia.
So in retaliation, South Africa refused to allow direct flights to Jo'burg with Air botswana, they now have to stop over in Gabs.
You shouldnt have to change planes in Gabs as it is just a splash and dash with fuel. Although expect to get roasted while you sit on the tarmac in the fokker with no Aircon on!
As per baggage. Please please for the love of christ bring the least amount of luggage that you can, and in small soft duffle bags. The door to the cargo pod on a C206 is small, and it makes our life harder trying to load them in if they are huge.
It is also stinking hot at the moment, so minimal luggage will be appreciate as we do our best to clear the trees!
They have laundary places in the camps, so you only need to bring 3 sets of clothes anyway!!!
