I am not convinced that paying to give Jet2 my airline experience is the way forward. Yes I want to move on and get a jet command in a few years time, but what if they can’t find enough people to front the type rating and suddenly half it – or worse bin it?
Can you imagine the resent if that happened, while I live in poverty having borrowed yet more money?
Why should I pay and be in the same category as the pilots recruited with a few hundred hours, against the time I have spent logging thousands – and for 70% of what I am worth?
I was all for it when they called, but having had a while to contemplate the deal, I am loosing enthusiasm to be honest.
Being able to get very easily to the London Airports, there must be something else coming up (no jet time though – but I don’t see how that matters to be honest as turboprops have wings and a glass cockpit too you know).
