I think 'ram it' is metaphorical. I had a chat with the bloke after a polite no, and I'd be very surprised if any other professional pilots were rude. The sentiment is to communicate to the company and the industry as a whole that a proportion (yet to be determined) of experienced candidates are unwilling to accept these terms just to fly jets.
