I applied about a month ago. Got a call on Monday, with the initial questions re paying for type rating etc. I said I would at this stage just to keep the application going. Got a call today giving me a date for assessment in 2 weeks.
I currently fly out of Glasgow, and want a GLA or EDI base.
I've got over 4000hrs with nearly 4 years command on medium TP. I would have to take a 50% salary cut, but i'm considering it as I turn 40 next year and feel I need to be on a jet by then. I stupidly turn down an offer from Globespan 4 years ago to get command with my current company, and don't want to make the same mistake again. That said, it pains me to pay for TR and 70% contract. However, if I go, listen to what they say, get offered the job, then maybe I can negotiate a better deal. I can live with paying for TR if I get a 100% salary.
