The accident stemmed from these sensors being iced up, the crew deciding to (or at least close to) stall the aeroplane, doing so at an unsuitable height , the crew being unable to recover from the stall.
Would suggest that the resultant flightpath was a UA with out of trim conditions due to the change of control laws occurring at a time where the crew were unable to retain situational awareness of the control laws & energy state.
Do agree with NoD that the accident has reaffirmed a lesson that apparently went poorly heeded, that flight test is a program where abnormal system behaviors are expected to occur.
