Stobbart Challenge previously Henshaw Challenge

Steve Noujaim is set to depart Southend Airport at about 04:30z 31st August 2010 in his RV-7 G-IIXF, in an attempt to break Alex Henshaw's record (London - Cape Town - London) which technically still stands, although it has been bettered in the 'wrong' direction. See The Cape Challenge, flight record bid

At the same time, Steve will be attempting to break the record set by Chalkie Stobbart between Cape Town and London. The Stobbart Challenge is for a return trip, in either direction, between Cape Town and London. The record now stands at 3 days 15 hours and 17 minutes for a solo flight in the C-1b class of the FAI.

You will be able to follow Steve's progress by logging on to the Cape Challenge website, or by going direct to Track Aircraft

May Steve have a pleasant and safe flight. See you in Cape Town at about 16:20z on 01 September.

Chuck.
