You just have to read some of the posts here to find plenty willing to tip off a story about airline X, because they hate airline X and all it stands for. No need for an IQ test on this one.
The journos will report it because Rex is newsworthy at the moment, in fact any airline here is newsworthy.
I'm suprised they haven't spoken about that annoying & unreliable number 2 engine again! But don't worry, I'm sure they'll get a grab from the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation soon!
