I can't believe what I'm reading here. This was a PRECAUTIONARY SHUTDOWN, NOTHING UNTOWARD, BUT BIGGER NEWS IF THE ENGINE HAD A CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE MIDAIR 20NM OUT OF YSSY. Please grow up and not be triggered by these people who are nothing but alarmists and riding on the back of negative news stories of yesterday.


By the sound of things the pilots did the right thing and the passengers were not affected by a normal inflight procedure when a situation occured to safely shutdown an engine so it could be inspected on the ground.
