Always makes me think of the 3 Muskateers whenever I hear it.
However, during the world cup games, the number of calls on 121.5 asking for score updates got a bit ridiculous. There was even a point when we were flying somewhere near Bordeaux during a semi-final when some bright spark kept the mic open for just over 90 seconds (we timed it) just with Vuvuzelas.
It might be an irritant in the cruise but in arrival or departure (particularly somewhere busy like London area) it can result in missed calls etc and normally means I turn Comm 2 down ... sometimes it is well into the cruise before I remember I haven't been monitoring it.
