According to News from Poland, it is said that "the pilot concerned was a US pilot of UPS Cargo based in Kentucky, USA, stopped by Guards at Warsaw Airport. When police arrived all the three crew of the cargo plane were breathalised and tested twice for alcohol intoxication. The first reading was 1.6% and the second reading was 1.8%. The pilot concerned was neither arrested nor taken to a sobering-up station because the Polish law allows for being at the airport under the influence of alcohol.
However, the offending pilot is to be questioned by Warsaw Prosecutors today."
It was further stated that UPS Cargo Operator, was the largest Warsaw cago operator for year 2008, USA; and is currently furloughing 300 pilots between year 2010 - 2011 in a bid to cut costs despite a 13% profit in year-on-year profits in 2010 (
