Reminds of the time that the Brazilian Navy sunk one of their own submarines (S-21 Tonelero) while it was tied up at the dock at the sub base over in Praça Mauá on December 24th 2000. When they left it in the evening, it was bobbing quite happily at the dockside... not so by morning. If I recall rightly, someone left a valve open, and the damn thing sunk overnight in 30 feet of water.
