Here's the paradox of the aviation medical world.
On one hand, you should get it checked out to make sure there is no underlying sinister cause, (which is extremely unlikely).
On the other, if you kept quiet, no-one would be any the wiser, as tinnitus is nearly always subjective (ie, only you know you've got it.)
