1000 hours on a specific type should put you within throwing distance of a contract job with one of the agencies. However, 1200 total time is not much, and considering that the majority of your 1200 hours is done via the autopilot, the meat on the bones perhaps isn`t as tender as one would assume?
How to land a job? Hmmmm have you made any contacts at all during your contract? Can you use them to point yourself in any direction? No chance of asking the company you flew for for a job? Any TP operators who are hiring?
Sadly, this is but one of many similar cases due to SSTR issues. The only thing that has happened is that the bar has been raised for time on type, and some sleazy TR-dealers have taken your money.
