How can you overcome the problem with hotels with only ethernet cables?
Another solution could be the iPad Wifi+3G, using a 3G SIM card. But roaming fees might make this an expensive solution. Or you'd have to buy different SIM for different countries. Can be a pain in the neck, especially because it's a micro SIM that you need.
