May individual route analysis

jpthomas72

Thanks for your observations as I have little real information into the
split between flybe and Lufthansa other than information like yours.

However most comments seem the same with fairly low load factors
for flybe on some German routes (as per Stuttgart) but I often receive
reassuring info from various sources that BE do get a lot of late high-
yielding bookings on DUS, FRA, STR, CDG and MXP.

I was one of those who assumed flybe would disappear from STR, FRA,
MXP once the 145's left the fleet as business pax would not stand for
the Q400 on 90 minute plus sectors.

However you have to assume that BE are happy as they have hardly
cut anything other than Milan from two daily to one and from winter
it is down to five a week by Q400.

Some of the May figures do show some hope but it must drive the
airlines mad when the loads vary so much with exhibitions at the NEC.
At least the likes of SAS and Lufthansa react positively and increase
the size of the aircraft when needed.
