Restating its preparedness to ensure that Jonathan contests and wins next year's presidential election, the group warned politicians to desist from overheating the polity over the issue of zoning, which it said is "an unconstitutional contraption".
It expressed the belief that the issue of who leads the country should be based on merit and track record and not on where a candidate comes from, pointing out that in the present circumstance, "Jonathan remains the best man to steer the ship of the nation".From THISDAY 14june10
