Helmets? Headsets? Personal GPS? Bring 'em if you want. New guys typically start as cojo on the 412 and it comes with both headsets and a very basic Trimble 2101. You will be expected to leave the GPS in your bag to start with and learn to navigate the fields with dead reckoning. Later you can use your GPS all you want.
Are there other pilots at ADA with a positive attitude? Of course there are. You'll hear over and over on this thread that it's the guys you fly with that make the job worth the rest of it, and that's all true. Whiners and complainers we have too but nobody really pays much attention to them. Listening to them just makes it harder to be here.
Yeah, and the food here can be great. Especially the Indian and Lebanese in the cheap restaurants downtown.
And don't forget to pack your sense of humour along with that helmet. You'll need it.
