I was told that the salary is a direct deposit into a local bank. After checking out the banks operating in the UAE and what they charge for checks, teller services, etc, which is the preferred bank for expats that won't charge you an arm and a leg to have a basic account? I saw Barclays and Citibank are international but extreme also in their charges, is this normal over there?
