I'm at a loss, I downloaded the space shuttle screen saver from the NASA website and tried the 'Print Screen' option and it worked for me. I even tried the Liverpool Screen saver but I am not a registered member so I couldn't down load it.
I have to admit I was wrong about the search for *.jpg , I tried it after downloading the NASA screen saver and didn't find the pic files either.
Maybe there is some kind of copyright protection on the Liverpool screen saver but that doesn't explain why I was able to get a 'screen grab' from the NASA screen saver and you weren't ??????
Anyway option one worked for me, so either you have done something incorrectly (which I doubt because as you said you got some sort of result even if it was just a black image) or our opperating systems are different and mine (XP) allows me to do it and yours don't. Maybe it's worth having a go at option one again????
