This is Etihad's policy regarding Car Seats:
Acceptance of Car-type Seats
Passengers travelling with children (over 6 months and up to 36 months) may use their own car-type seats in conjunction with a normal aircraft seat when the appropriate child fare has been purchased. The car-type seat can be used for take-off, cruise and landing and must meet the following standards:
1. Must be a forward facing type with the proper harness that can be strapped to a passenger seat by the use of a lap belt only.
2. Must be in good condition, solid back (no recline facility) and show no signs of damage.
3. Must have a single release type harness which secures the infants lap, shoulders and torso.
The following car seats are permitted in the aircraft:
1. Australian Standard Sticker attached AS 1754
2. US Standard FMVSS213
3. Canadian Seats to conform to CMVSS 213
4. European Seats conform to Euro Standards ECE-44
5. German qualification procedure for Child Restraint System for use in aircraft
