I flew with several ex Air Asia FO's at Vietnam Airlines. They complained about how hard they worked there.
I got bad news though. It is the rare pilot job in the world now that doesn't work you 80-100 hours per month. The only question is how they do it. Air Asia does it with a lot of sectors per day, and short turnarounds. The payback? More days off at home. I will take that.
Vietnam does it different. 2-4 short sectors per day, 1 hour turnarounds. you work 23 days per month, but you are home most nights, and my average duty day was 6 hours. That is OK for me as well.
Most US and European carriers now work 80+ hours a month, up to 100. It is the rare airline job that doesn't work your butt off. If you don't like it, a career switch might be in order.
