The CRJ-200 has had many nose wheel failures around the world. When Bombardier redesigned the model into the -700, -900, and now -1000, they added hydraulic system 2 to lock the nose wheel down.

Hydraulic 2 is not used at all for the landing gear in a CRJ-200, however, all variants use hydraulic 3 for the landing gear.
