You know guys, that's why I don't even bother to read PPruNe anymore. It has become a place where bored people lash out at everyone they can find. I agree Link got the raw end after the Durban accident and what followed, BUT there were serious questions after the accident, and NOT because of the technical failure, but the way it was handled.
Technical failures happens in all airlines in this country, believe me. Yes, they don't get published as front page news, but neither did Link's before the Durban accident where someone lost his life.
Instead of pointing fingers at the media about this, maybe, just maybe, you can find it in there somewhere to give a fellow aviator a pat on the back and say "well done mate, we know these things happen and you did a great job."
