Message of support for stranded crews

As someone who appreciates everything cabin crew do to make his flights as safe and comfortable as possible I'd just like to say my thoughts are with any of you and your flight deck colleagues who headed off with plane loads of holidaymakers to Southern Europe in the early hours of Thursday morning believing you would be enjoying dinner with your families on Thursday evening.
As far as I can see looking at the BFS Arrivals and Departures information at least one IT flight and one scheduled flight did head for the sun before flying ceased. The return flights were initially delayed indefinitely and then cancelled. Presumably similar situations have arisen at other airports.
It must be a very stressful situation to face not to say emotional for any of you who are now missing major family events.
All I can say is I hope your employers are looking after you as they should and you manage to get home ASAP.
In the meantime you're very much in my thoughts.
