Jesus!

There are some enormous bunches of sour grapes floating around on this forum.

Easy is not perfect - show me any airline that is!

We have some Rostering problems - show me any airline that doesn't (or hasn't!)

we have some problems in flight operations - they are nothing unusual, neither are they unique to easyjet.

We have some disgruntled crews - nothing unique there either!

we have some disputes/differences of opinion between management and crews - hardly unbelievable in this day and age!

we have many very happy and satisfied crews - but that is not very newsworthy is it?

we have a fine, ever growing, modern fleet of aircraft - hardly worth a mention is it?

we're making a profit - trivia!!

we have a first-class training department.

We have an excellent safety record - who cares?

We are expanding rapidly and maintaining steady success in the process - speaks for itself really.

I have been, and indeed am, from time to time, critical of certain things within easyjet. I can honestly say that is true of every company I have worked for in the last 24 years. nothing that I have heard at, or about, easyjet in the last couple of years has been significantly different from anything said about any other company.

Overall, however, it is crystal clear to me that easyjet's success has been the built on solid foundations and, despite some of these niggling problems that everyone is so quick to highlight, the future looks very good indeed.

If that means that we are now, or will soon be, in the enviable position to be able to pick and choose the very best candidates for positions within the company, whether the ground based or flight crew, then so be it.

One thing does really confuse me over some of the previous posts within this thread - if the package is really not that good, and their pension is crap, and the work ethic and management is so poor etc etc...........why on earth did you apply for the job in the first place?

As for trucking across the pond in a wide-body - rather you than me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
