Yeah it does sound a bit dodgy, in the end your selling out your retirement to help fund your employer. It seems this relentless drive to lower T & C's for the flight crew is still on. If you check out what the RFDS pay in terms of package (QLD & Western ops), project the trend forward 4 years, deduct CPI from what they have offered the captains and the difference is not that much. Especially when you take into account the rfds pilot still gets to fly real aircraft and has great employment security. Its just an example of how some GA wages are increasing and the airlines are gradually eating at what they pay their pilots. This trend needs to be arrested otherwise the industry is ruined.
