Nice green tape on "the Fin" - I learned (after 1000hrs on type) from an old hand, who was an early German Panavia mate, that rotating the handle on the canopy handle, whilst closing it, inflates the seal from residual pressure. I never used tape again after that (and never got a wet arse again, as well!).
I guess that piece of corporate knowledge has been lost on the 4th or 5th generation of Tornado crews (I was 2nd generation)??? - even these ones from the FJOEU!
