Its the same all around the world. You have to be there to get hired. I went to Aussie, Indonesia and all the Pacific Islands before I managed to get hired.
You can't just sit back firing out emails expecting to get hired from the otherside of the world. They recieve multiple emails each day from people like yourself with the same experience and ratings.
As the Chief pilot from AirNZ just told me, "its attitude that we are looking for." And you can't show that from your armchair in your home.
Besides, you have speant how much getting your licence? What another few thousand.
