The 'more senior F/O's ' who fly A330's gifted to them by QF, who undercut their colleagues to get work and have been pilots in 'the Qantas group' for periods up yo two thirds less then exisiting mainline A330 Captains, will also have opportunities to transfer to QF should they desire.
This could prove very useful when Bruce outsources the B787 flying away from both existing pilot groups.
