Another even urged tearing up the union's pledge not to strike at Easter, saying: 'Ten days over Easter please!!!!! Sod the schoolkids.'
Unfortunately I believe you will find those sort of dowhackadoo individuals on both sides of the issue. That one unreasoned individual decides to post does not bring much weight into the debate.

Rather like those Americans that disagree with President Obama having to put up with Orly Taitz being on "their side"

Unfortunately, in this situation, you have a Union who reacted far too strongly, FAR too strongly, to a rather reasonable imposition, and then got caught up in the momentum of their own rhetoric.

Unfortunately, the Union's energy is now directed towards not delivering the best result for their members, but saving face and maintaining position in the face of a company that must make savings to survive.

Unite/BASSA keep blinking but, unless BA says "Oh never mind" or offers some face-saving out, they will have to stop hesitating and eventually announce strike dates.

I'm amazed their membership has been as patient as they have been, though rather admiring their ability to gather a group that will agree to anything.
