Old Photo Fanatic.
For the past six occasions, I have used the 'Sundowner Motel' , at a little town called Montello, west of Oshkosh. It is a small town of 1100 odd people. The problem may be that it is, in fact, 50 miles from Oshkosh, but it is an absolutely simple unhurried, and nice drive on normal roads at 8am.
It is run by a man called John Gardner, and has a website, though I don't currently have it. The closer you are to the show, the more you will pay for your room. His prices are very reasonable, and if you have a friend, then you halve the expense.. Nice easy drive back, stopping at the Red Apple in Ripon for dinner. Breakfast at Sparky's, excellent food [this is America] and it's open very early. If you want any further info, please post again. Cheers, John.
Watch the speed limit in Rosendale. Fell foul of it, but got let off.
