The issue
did get a hearing on Thurs 25th Feb after all. I missed it since it was contained within debate on another Aviation Transport Security amendment (to do with cargo).

The excellent AIPA press release from last week is quoted extensively. The Opposition appears firmly on the side of sense and logic, I'm happy to read.
