Personally I think both Qatar and Etihad could work if they used Newcastle as a stop on the way to New York - they'd make loads of money from freight, broon ale outbound and coal inbound (although they'll have to be quick before Jet2 jump in with their 767)

Getting back to the serious stuff, are the Wideroe flights to/from Bergen the past few Saturdays school ski trips?
