i agree you dont require Indian CPL for flying in Maun or any other places that he is looking at. But for a Indian Citizen who has trained abroad i think its advisable to get his license converted into Indian license first simply because if any opportunities come out he would be atleast be eligible to apply for them. I have lots of friends who have run off to Philippines or African regions to fly before converting their License into Indian ones, and when an Opportunity opened up back home they were unable to apply for it.

So its just my advise. and i totally agree with you. You have experienced CPL holders with CFI/MEI rating + about 500-800 hours waiting to get a job in Maun, so chances of a fresh CPL holder getting priority ahead of them is really slim. ( although i dont mean to discourage anyone but that is what the situation is at present)
