LBMF, I have been offered a job in Singapore and have seriously looked into moving out there.
It's not as expensive as everyone makes out. You can rent a 2-3 bed flat from about £700 up which compares to the S.E. England area. Tax is a flat 15%. Cars however are very expensive to own out there.
If you're single most of the contractors share a flat between them and split the costs making it even cheaper.
The thing that put me off was the 220hrs per month (min) you are expected to work.
