I don't think anyone from bmir is getting to "the wide-body world"... people so far have 'only' been offered A320, as far as I am aware.
As for other ME operators, Emirates won't take people with experience on A/C less than 50 tonnes so that counts out EMB hours. I haven't heard about anyone talking to Ethiad.
At the moment the company is still several people over-crewed due to the reduction of service from Aberdeen, so recruitment is not assured, but is likely, it just depends how many guys actually go to Qatar.
