Correct. Well done.
The Battle of Khe Sanh was fought between January 21 and April 8 1968 during the Viet Nam War. It was the bloodiest battle of the war.
Khe Sanh was a remote outpost in the North West of South Viet Nam. Six thousand US Marines were surrounded by twenty thousand Viet Kong of the North Vietnamese Army.
Immense air power was required to resupply the beleaguered base and attack the NVA surrounding it.
When the siege ended after 77 days, an estimated 10,000 – 15,000 NVA were dead or wounded.
