Logging Solo Hours During Training

Hi. When my PPL was issued, the CAA requested that all 'In Command' time in my log book was recorded as P1, referring to my hours both in solo circuits and XC's during training. Though I'd recorded times correctly in the respective column, I'd put in the Holders Operating Capacity as P.U.T. believing that while I was under instruction, whether solo or not I was pilot under training. During circuits, I've also recorded the 'in command' time on the same line as the dual (ie before the instructor jumped out) - eg Depart 18:00, Arrive 19:45, In Command 1:15, Dual or P2 0:30. If I need to create a separate entry for each detail (which strictly speaking I guess is correct) it will cause problems. What have others done/recommend? I think I'm going to have to re-write the log book.
