Puzzled by your point 2. "They are unlikely to type rate existing JET2 B757 crews for B767 (that's IF B767 acquisition is actioned)" - I know you compiled the list, where did you find this?
I did a 5 day differences course (all groundschool, and 2 sim sessions) to be ready for the 767 on my joint 757/767 TR. It could have been done in 4 days, included company indoctrination and ETOPS training too which would bring it down to 2 days. Don't really understand why something so simple would be barred from current 757 crews as it offers flexibility for crewing.
As for jet2's hiring procedure, seems a bit amateur and haphazard. Timescales all over the shop and no doubt will involve the usual panic and fire-fighting that always seems to go hand in hand with charter airline recruitment.
