A Serial Number!
A snippet which might prove useful. "Veteran & Vintage Aircraft of the World" by Leslie Hunt, published about 1964 or so, records Supermarine 545 (XA 181) as being scheduled for viewing at the Cranfield Open Day on 26 June 1965. No photos, though, and no mention of the 545 anywhere in the 1974 edition of his book.
