ATPL vs CPL holder ...

... and in addition to a 150 hour CPL being 'as welcome' as a 15000 ATPL, when I applied there were also additional points awarded for more than 3 years work experience related to your 'nominated qualification'.

I suspect that's still the case and if so, it means in an indirect sort of way, that the ATPL holder will stand a higher chance of heading 'down under' by virtue of the fact he'll be awarded more points than the CPL applicant due to his related employment experience.

So perhaps CJ need not be quaking in his boots at the prospect of a foreigner deluge robbing him of his employment prospects. In fact, I'd be more concerned should all the Aussies here in Europe and elsewhere decide to head home en masse. Then they'd definitely be a problem!

I've found all this patriotic bollox normally ends when the prospect of a decent job opens up overseas for the said encumbent. They then pack their suitcases very quietly.

Yours
