Thanks for updating the forum on this - really cool to hear.
Worked out, if you do, say, 15 days per month on an average 8 hour shift (give or take, but as an average), at $20.55 ph + block pay, say at 11.50 per hour (ie. $32 x 120 hours) would equate to $3850 per month - but that is only a forecast/average.
Obviously that won't be every month, but as an 'example' of potential, not too bad.
I guess it comes downs to the individual. Whether you're prepared to take the punt or stay safe in a (ie. Wannabes) unhappy job.

I for one have flown for 4 years, are now out of it for 3 months and miss it like my mum!
Based on the Jetstar Air Asia shared 'resources' announcement yesterday, I'd say Jetstar will only grow more, and this could potential open doors (so the speak).
Do you know if the training will take place over 4-6 weeks?? It takes this long to get through things thoroughly.
